Old Boy and international pop star, Max George from the Wanted, wished current pupils Alex Deakin and Caroline Blair good luck when they performed in a sold out production of Les Miserables at the Z-Arts Centre in Manchester.
Year 8 pupil in the Girls’ Division, Caroline, and Sixth Form Boys’ Division student, Alex, are part of the award-winning Musical Youth UK, who brought the world’s longest running musical to life with their performance of Les Miserables School’s Edition.

During the run, Max took the time to go backstage and wish them luck and was described by a parent as ‘A lovely man and a credit to the school!’ The show featured a cast of 60 of the North-West’s most talented 11-19 year old performers who have been coached and directed by the very best of West-End talent. They performed songs known the world over including ‘I Dreamed a Dream’, ‘On My Own’ and ‘Do You Hear The People Sing?’, in what proved to be a truly spellbinding show.
