'We're worried but optimistic'
Music mogul Scooter Braun has shared an update
with MTV News about The Wanted's Nathan Sykes, who recently underwent vocal
surgery.
Sykes had to go under the knife earlier last
week after a hemorrhaging nodule was found and is now beginning the recovery
process, which means he's been forced to take an 'unforeseen hiatus' from
performing and recording with the popular boyband.
Braun explained: "We're worried, but he's
in recovery right now and we're being optimistic. Our prayers go out to him and
right now we don't know. We're just waiting to see how he reacts to the
surgery."
"They want him back, so you know they're
calling daily and he can't really speak. But we're trying to keep his spirits
up," he added. "And letting him know the group's not the same without
him."
Meanwhile, The Wanted have just announced their
new single and have called the track 'Walks Like Rihanna'.
