THE
WANTED will press on with their promotional commitments without NATHAN SYKES as
the singer recovers from throat surgery.
The
star is scheduled to undergo an operation in Los Angeles on Thursday (18Apr13),
the day of his 20th birthday, to repair a haemorrhaging nodule on his vocal
cords.
Reports
suggested the group would be cancelling all upcoming appearances while Sykes
recovers from the procedure, but a representative for the band has now
confirmed The Wanted will be pressing ahead without the singer.
A
statement from the band's management company reads "We can confirm that
The Wanted's Nathan Sykes will undergo specialist throat surgery on Thursday
18th April in Los Angeles and as such will be taking unforeseen hiatus from The
Wanted. The priority for Nathan, his label and management is that he is given
time to recover and receive the best treatment possible.?? The remaining four
members of The Wanted will continue fulfilling the bands promotional
commitments across the world."
