Fans were left wanting more of The Wanted Life after the dramatic first episode ended showing Nathan Sykes gearing up for throat surgery.
The preview at the end of the debut of The Wanted’s new reality US
TV show, which aired on E! on Sunday evening, saw the youngest member of the
band in a hospital gown hearing he had a nodule on his throat and he needed
surgery.
His hospital trip came after he struggled in the first episode
with his vocals and declared his voice was ‘whacked’ before being urged by his
manager to visit the doctor.
After months of sitting out he is set to make his comeback with
The Wanted at the Capital FM Summertime Ball in London on June 9.
While he may now just be days away from returning to the stage, as their programme shows for a time it was a difficult for the singer.
Cameras from the E! network followed the English-Irish boyband - Max George, Tom Parker, Jay McGuiness, and Siva Kaneswaran - as they moved into a fancy mansion in Los Angeles and tried to break the States and record their new album but things didn’t quite go to plan for Nathan.
After the band’s big gig at the Palladium in Hollywood, he said: 'My voice is just whacked. It's like, not there.'
And it got worse as he tried to record a new song he'd written.
