She added: “Max is the best-
looking guy I’ve ever been with.”
In a bizarre romantic twist,
the loved-up pair have swapped partners — with TV presenter Mark now dating
Max’s former fiancée, Coronation Street actress Michelle Keegan.
But Lucy, who recently beat
Rihanna to be named the world’s best bikini body of 2013, made it clear she
prefers Max as he is a REAL man.
Speaking for the first time
about the relationship that has fascinated the showbiz world, the 21-year-old
told The Sun on Sunday: “I would NEVER date someone from Essex again.

the Sun's Sunday Showbiz
“When I was with Mark, he got
more beauty stuff done than I did.
“He was obsessed with his looks
— I’d be doing my make-up in the mirror and he’d come up behind me and start
posing.
“I don’t want anyone like that
now — it really is unattractive.
“Max couldn’t be any more
different and I find that really hot. It’s appealing to me that he isn’t into
preening at all and is more of a bloke.”
And when asked if Max is the
best between the sheets, she giggles: “Yes.”
Lucy’s ex-fiancé Mario Falcone,
a fellow star of ITV’s hit reality show The Only Way Is Essex, also got the
thumbs down for being vain.
“He even asked me to buy him a
make-up set for Christmas,” Lucy said.
The Sun first broke the news of
Lucy’s relationship with Max last month, when we pictured the pair kissing
after The Wanted’s gig at London’s G-A-Y club night.
But the curvy brunette said Max
pursued her for weeks on Twitter before she agreed to meet him.
“Max started following me on
Twitter first,” she recalled. “I get about 1,000 new followers a day, so it was
just a coincidence that I saw him pop up on my iPad.

“I then followed him and we got
chatting and arranged to meet up, but it took a while.
“It takes a lot for me to go
out with someone. I don’t go on a date or see someone until I know they really
like me. It’s an insecurity thing on my part. I hadn’t fancied Max specifically
because he wasn’t my usual type, but I knew he was very good-looking.”
While Lucy admits she was wary
about Max, 24, because of his reputation as a womaniser and rumours he previously
cheated on actress Michelle, 26, she was surprised to discover he was a
gentleman.
She said: “He’s in a boyband
and was single, so of course he was going to do what he was doing.
“But Max is actually not what I
expected before I met him at all. He’s the complete opposite actually — really,
really lovely.”
Referring to the claims he
cheated on Michelle, Lucy added: “We have discussed the rumours and he made it
clear he has never had his chance to say what happened. I don’t think the
public perception of him is fair.”
But Lucy and Max have made a
pact not to watch each other’s reality shows — which is probably for the best.
On The Wanted’s E! show, Max has been shown romancing beauties at the band’s
Hollywood pad.
“It’s been a long while since
that was filmed so there’s no need for me to see it,” Lucy insisted. “We’ve
made a deal with each other — I’m not letting him watch Towie either.”
Given that both Mark, 26, and
Max have bad-boy reputations, Lucy’s critics have claimed she only wants to
date womanisers.
But she insisted: “I’m
definitely not attracted to a womaniser. Oh God, I hope not anyway.
“The problem is, cheeky,
confident and cocky guys with the gift of the gab are always the ones who
pursue me.
“I haven’t even dated many guys
— the longest I’ve been single is four months.
“I’ve never kissed a guy on the
first night out. I’ve definitely never had a one-night stand. I’m definitely
not an easy get.”
Luckily, Max and Lucy are yet
to bump into Mark and Michelle at a showbiz event.
Lucy said: “I met Michelle a
long time ago. She’s lovely. But I haven’t seen Mark for ages.”

what I expected - he's really, really lovely'
How does she feel about the
partner swapping? “It’s really bizarre, but it’s just a weird coincidence.
Believe me, Mark and Michelle aren’t mine and Max’s main topic of
conversation.” In an added twist, Lucy has a long-running feud with the former
X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos, who has been linked with both Mark and Max.
The rivalry started when the
25-year-old N-Dubz star got Lucy banned from attending the FHM 100 Sexiest
Women in the World party in May last year.
Lucy recalled: “I was already
on my way there and I was told I had to turn around and go home because she
wouldn’t turn up if I was there. I don’t have much respect for her because of
it.
“She was being a diva because I
was number 67 and she was number one on the list.
“But you know, what goes around
comes around. I think she’s been very stupid.
“She had the best job in TV but
since then she’s made a lot of bad decisions.
“I think soon she’ll regret it
and realise how silly she’s been.”
Before starting her relationship
with Max, Lucy had a brief “holiday fling” with male model and newly expectant
dad Dan Osborne, who also appears on Towie.
But Lucy, who owns her own
clothing boutique, rejects rumours broadcast on the show that the pair made a
sex tape. She said: “I can categorically say there is no sex tape. I just find
it hilarious because everyone is talking about it.
On Mark and Michelle ... 'they
aren't our main topic of conversation'
“I want to become the British
Kim Kardashian — but not that way.”
Lucy also says she is over her
relationship with Mario, 25.
The couple got engaged on TV
only to split up less than a year later, after claims of cheating.
“Right at the beginning of the
relationship I was unfaithful to Mario with Mark,” Lucy admitted. “He made me
feel guilty about it a lot but then went on to cheat on me at least SEVEN
times.”
Mario recently gave an
interview claiming he overdosed on “40 strong painkillers” because he got so
depressed after the split, but Lucy is not convinced it happened.
She said: “He wasn’t left alone
— he was with his sisters for two nights and then me for a night. There was no
opportunity for him to do it. He had issues with depression but I think he was
looking for me and other people to feel sorry for him.
“But it didn’t work. All it did
was push me further away.”
Lucy’s size six figure has
become the fascination of celebrity magazines and websites since the split, but
she does not agree with some experts who claim she has become too thin.
She said: “I do exercise but
it’s not an obsession. I weigh less than I did before but I’m not underweight.
“It has been printed that I’m
7st 7lb, which is ridiculous. I’m 8st 6lb, which is healthy for my height (5ft
6in).”
Lucy, whose bra size is a 32C,
is happy that a reality TV star who has not gone under the knife to enhance her
looks is finally getting recognition.
“It’s nice for someone without
big fake boobs to be noticed for once,” she said. “I’m completely natural and
have never had any surgery.
“It shows you don’t need to
have massive boobs for guys to be attracted to you.
“You are what you are. If you
get all this stuff done, it’s easy to become a weird- looking Barbie.”
Lucy plans to spend time with
Max in Los Angeles next month.
She is in the US for talks with
a film producer she met at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.
She will then return to star in
the tenth series of Towie, but plans for it to be her last.
“Everything happens for a
reason — I was supposed to meet Mark because it set me on this path and I don’t
regret it,” she said.
“But now I’m the happiest I’ve
ever been. I speak to Max all the time even though at the moment it is tricky
because he’s in different countries all the time and is going to America for a
month.”
And while she would consider
appearing in the next series of The Wanted’s reality show, the aspiring
businesswoman wants Max to know she has no plans to become a groupie.
“I want my own personal career
that isn’t linked to someone else,” she said.
