Maz, 25, revealed that Hollywood bigwigs can’t understand him in casting interviews
Since The Wanted said they were splitting, there have been plenty of rumours flying around about what the boys will get up to when they go their separate ways.
But Max George getting elocution lessons wasn’t one of them. The born and bred Manc is hoping to break into the movies - but there’s a major problem.
Hollywood bigwigs can’t understand him.
So it seems that Max is now going round reciting “the rain in Spain stays mainly in the plain” as part of his accent overhaul to land some roles.
Max, 25, revealed: “I’m having elocution lessons, since they can’t understand me in casting interviews.
"I had an acting role lined up but the filming clashed with The Wanted tour so it didn’t happen in the end.”
And it looks like the speech lessons are paying off.
He added: “I’m hoping people can see something new from me next month but I don’t want to say too much in case I shoot myself in the foot with it. I am looking to relocate to LA but not just yet.

One person who seemingly won’t be joining him out in LA-LA land is his current squeeze, I’m A Celebrity... star Amy Willerton, 21.
When Max was asked if Amy would be with him in the US, he said “Amy who?” Awkward.
He quickly added: “Oh, Willerton? Nah. We hung out about six months ago and she met my mum after a gig. It’s not a relationship or anything serious, no.”
Better not book that flight just yet, Amy.
As part of Malibu’s #BestSummerEver campaign, Max was at the Malibu Rum suite at the O2 in South East London on Tuesday for the Justin Timberlake gig.
Max also said while he’s probably not invited to ex-girlfriend Michelle Keegan’s wedding to Mark Wright, he’s up for playing a part.
He joked: “I’m not touring so I’m available as their wedding singer.”
Good luck with that one.
