The
star joined his bandmates at London's Wembley Stadium to open the Capital FM
Summertime Ball.
Speaking
after coming off stage, he said: "I'm going to miss my days of Jeremy
Kyle, This Morning and the PlayStation, but it is great to be back."
Bandmate
Max George added: "It feels pretty awesome. We've missed him. We've been
slogging it out for over two months now as a four.
"We
have to do a lot less now he's back because he's quite heavy with the vocals
which is cool for the rest of us."
Nathan
Sykes is understood to have suffered a haemorrhaging vocal cord, a condition
which also affected Adele at the end of 2011.
Although
his performance went without a problem, Nathan Sykes appeared not to be fully
up to date with the boy band's schedule.

When
Max George mentioned that their next tour was coming up soon, he replied:
"Is it?"
Nathan
Sykes still has to finish his vocals for the group's next album and Max George
claimed he would have "a rough ride".
When
asked if he had been thinking about his future schedule, Nathan Sykes replied:
"A tiny bit. Obviously I've just spent time getting back to where I was
before. But yes, I should probably work hard and get up to date."
